  • What is coaching (and what it is not)?
    "Coaching is a partnership that maximizes human potential" - Leadership That Works Through asking structured, thoughful questions, a coach helps you unearth, clarify, and align to your purpose. Coaching is about raising self-awareness, learning about your strengths and limiting beliefs/blocks, and taking steps to to fulfill your dreams and goals. Coaching helps you move from where you are to where you want to be. A coachee is the driver of their journey - you decide what your goals are and what the solutions/strategies are to move you forward. A coach is part-cheerleader and part-tough love. A coach believes in your highest potential and their role is to hold you accountable to reaching your goals. Coaching is NOT therapy, mentoring, teaching or training. Therapy is a long-term process focused on resolving past or current trauma. Therapists diagnose and treat mental health issues and problems that impact daily functioning. Coaching is future-focused, action-oriented, and timebound. Coaching starts where a coachee is by providing support to form new habits and address limiting beliefs/blocks to get them where they want to be. Mentoring is a relationship between a more seasoned person with a budding individual. A mentor offers expertise, experience, wisdom and opens doors to opportunities for a mentee. The relationship can span over several months to years. A coach supports coachees in tapping into their own innate wisdom and resourcefulness. Teaching or training focuses on the attainment of new knowledge. A teacher is the subject expert. They help others learn and ultimately gain more skills. Rather than teaching how to do something, coaches help people refine and tap into the skills they already have.
  • I'm ready to get coached! What do I do next?
    1) DISCOVERY CALL: Your first step is to set up a discovery session. This is a FREE 60-minute consultation to learn more about individualized coaching, packages and rates offered, and to see if we are a good coaching match. Please note that all coaching sessions are done over the phone or by teleconference. 2) AGREEMENT + PAYMENT: If we mutually agree to move forward, I'll send you a link to book your sessions, invoice, and a coaching agreement. Prior to your first session, the invoice must be paid and coaching agreement must be returned. For the membership/ subscription, a recurring monthly payment will be set up. This can be cancelled at any time. 3) SCHEDULE: Sessions must be set in advance. I do recognize that things come up. Any cancellations and re-booking must be done 24 hours in advance. 3) EMBRACE CHANGE: Once all the logistical matters are taken cared of, take a deep breath, open your heart and mind, and get ready to begin this transformative journey.   • What is energy healing and what are its benefits?
    Reiki (ray-key), Holographic Sound Healing, and Pranic Healing are healing technologies for stress reduction, relaxation, and healing (physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual). All of these modalities harness the power of the "Universal Life Energy" also called Ki, Chi (Qi), Prana, Mana, and Ruach. An energy practitioner is the channel of the universal life energy using either their hands, tools such a crystal or singing bowl, and/or voice to activate the natural healing process of a client's body. This then restores the client's physical, emotional, mental and energetic well-being. It is said that when one's "life force energy" is low, then they are more likely to get sick or feel stress. If it is high, they are more capable of living to their fullest potential. They feel strong, confident, and ready to enjoy life and take on it's challenges. Energy healing has been effective in helping a variety of dis-eases. It works in conjunction with other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery. Energy healing treats the whole person including body, emotions, and mind creating many beneficial effects: - Promotes deep relaxation and relieves tension - Aids better sleep - Reduces blood pressure - Helps relieve pain - Assists in the body's natural detoxification process - Strengthens the immune system - Removes energy blocks and negative thought patterns - Increases vitality and raises the vibrational frequency of the body - Heals relationships to self and others - Increases abundance in every aspect of one's life To learn more about pranic healing specifically, check out this video:
  • What is an energy healing session like?
    Each energy healing session can be up to 60-75 minutes. All sessions are done through distance healing (through teleconference or phone). If it is the first session, you will fill out an intake form. I will then ask you a few questions to learn more about your concerns and needs. I will help you to get into a calm and restful state by creating an inviting atmosphere through sound, scents, guided visualization, and other modalities. You will be asked to get into a comfortable position by either laying down or sitting up. I will project the universal life force energy through my hands, clear quartz crystal, and/or voice to hover over your body - these techniques use "no touch" healing. You will receive healing energy that will balance the chakras, reduce stress, and heal you physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. You participate in the comfort of your own home or another comfortable space. There are no special equipment or supplies needed for the session. You will be asked to find a quiet, relaxing area for your session. Since the universal life force energy is transcendental, time and distance are not a barrier. You will receive the same healing benefits in an online/virtual session as you would in an in-person session. After the session, I recommend drinking lots of water, spending time outdoors, and light movement to fully absorb and integrate the healing energies. It is also recommended that you do not bathe for 12-24 hours to further incorporate the benefits of the healing. You should also continue taking it easy for the rest of the day and avoid any strenuous activity. Depending on your situation, I may recommended additional follow up activiites for you to do that will hasten the healing process.
  • How do you pronounce your name and what does it mean?
    First off, thank you for being brave enough to ask and not automatically butchering it or worse... deciding to give me a nickname (tsk, tsk, tsk). Here's an article why it's important to learn how to pronounce people's names. My name is pronounced NOY-LYNN. An easy way to remember is that "Noi" is joy with an "N". Now on to its meaning. Would you be disappointed if I told you that my name does not have any meaning? Really, it doesn't. The origins of my name are much more mundane. It was pretty common among Filipino parents in the '60s and '70s to take parts of their names and come up with their kid's name. Way before the days of celebrity blended names of the likes of Bennifer or Brangelina. Who knew my parents (and their peers) were such trendsetters? So my name is a combo. I get "Noi" from my dad and "Lyn" from my mom.
